description
The design and installation of a digital average speed safety camera system in several locations on A1079 covering approximately 18 miles of road on two distinct sections of A1079 between Shiptonthorpe and Bishop Burton and Beverley and Hull and a maintenance agreement for up to 8 years.

The contract will cover the design and installation of a new digital average speed safety camera system with maintenance, upgrades and callouts on a road maintained by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in compliance with the Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Highways Act 1980, Traffic Calming Act 1992 and other relevant legislation. The works will include a comprehensive maintenance program and the provision of a continuous call out service for urgent response to attend at any applicable location in the East Riding of Yorkshire within the prescribed times. Working restrictions will apply.
Additional works and services of a similar nature may be required under this contract as set out in the Value section above as included as provisional sums which may not be used, used in part or used in full at the Council’s discretion.
