Consultation Event: Outcomes for the sexual health promotion programme in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham

Background

Lambeth Council currently commissions a community led HIV prevention programme that targets people from African communities and is due to end on 31st March 2016. The LSL Sexual Health Strategy sets out the Council’s strategic vision to improve sexual health and wellbeing for Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham residents. A strategic priority is to reshape current sexual health promotion, and we would like to hear your views on how we can achieve this.

New programme

A new programme will be commissioned to encompass wider sexual health promotion and include condom distribution. The programme will target adults (Black Africans and Caribbean’s and gay men). The condom distribution scheme will consist of two strands: a young people’s condom distribution service (integrated with London’s C-card scheme) and a condom distribution service for adults in LSL only.

Event aims

Lambeth Council wants to consult with you - key stakeholders - on the outcomes for the new sexual health promotion programme ahead of commencing a formal procurement exercise. At this event, you are invited to comment on the outcomes the Council intends to commission for the delivery of this programme. We would greatly value your comments as they will be used to inform the development of the service specification.
