PP15062 - Bilston Primary School - Primary Expansion Programme - 2015

Extensions and Alterations to Bilston Primary School. Location: Albany Crescent, Bilston, Wolverhampton WV14 OHU. The Works comprise extensions, and alterations of an existing Primary School. <u>Construction</u> of a single storey extension comprising lightweight steel frame with lattice steel roof beams, purlins and insulated flat roof; traditional external wall on a concrete raft to provide additional 4 number Key Stage 2 Classrooms and associated accommodation. <u>Alterations</u> to existing areas within the school including Hall reconstruction and a further single storey extension to provide commercial Kitchen and ancillary spaces. <u>External works</u> include new car parks, playgrounds, footpaths, fencing, landscaping and planting, drainage and external services. The Contractor is directed to the drawings to identify the exact extent and nature of the Works. The Works are to be completed in sections as described in Clause A20 Sixth Recital with the school remaining fully operational throughout the period of the works. Term times and school hours are described in Clause A34/170A with sequencing and timing further described in clause A35/131A . Please note it is the Council's intention that this requirement will be awarded to a single supplier who will be responsible for the delivery of the entire works.
