Tenders are invited for the supply of Building Consultancy and Exhibition and Interpretation Design Services in respect of Derby Silk Mill ? Museum of Making (DSMMoM). The successful Service Provider(s) will be responsible for providing Architect Led Design and Exhibition Design Services liaising closely with the Contract Manager Hannah Fox and Derby City Council as the Landlord of the building.

It is the intention of Derby Museums to award one contractor for each or both of the following lots:

Lot 1 - Lead Consultant Architect Design Team (incorporating but not limited to Conservation Architectural services, Landscape Architectural services, Access Consultancy, Structural Engineering Services, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Services, Quantity Surveying Services CDM Co-ordinator Services and Project Management Services) - to provide detailed designs, plans and costs for the restoration and redevelopment of Derby Silk Mill as an inspirational Museum of Making, including the update and review of the Conservation Plan for the building that was prepared by Atkins in 2008 (see appendix 9).

Lot 2 - Interpretation and Exhibition Design Support - to work with the internal Project Team and Architect Design Team to develop displays and interpretation for Derby Silk Mill ? Museum of Making.
