description
Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for expressions of interest from care suppliers for a new scheme currently under development in Bournemouth. The supplier will provide background support and individual care at the new scheme at Fairways Court.. Fairways Court consists of six, one-bedroom apartments across two floors, in the BH11 area of Bournemouth and forms part of the Council's Transforming Care Partnership Plan for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. It is anticipated that this scheme will commence on the 1st August 2017. The flats are best described as general needs style accommodation. Although there are three ground floor flats with level access showers, these are not fully wheelchair accessible and so the scheme will not be appropriate for people who have significant physical needs. The Bournemouth Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities, (CTPLD), are currently identifying people suitable for the scheme. A number of people have already been potentially identified for this scheme. Most have complex needs in relation to: • Autism • Additional mental health needs • Behaviours that challenge services • Epilepsy Consequently, we are keen to identify a competent supplier that could support people with these types of needs, in a positive and person-centred way to enable them to lead fulfilling lives. The commissioning model has yet to be determined however there maybe the option for the supplier to occupy one of the apartments in order to deliver the service. The contract is expected to be for 4 years with option to extend by an additional 2 years. The estimated value of the contract is between £1200000 and £1500000. It is anticipated that the tender documents will be issued in May 2017. Suppliers that express an interest will be invited to the opportunity when the tender documents are published. The tender documents will provide full details on the requirements for the contract. The closing date for the expressions of interest 2nd May 2017, 14:00.
