The aim of the FMA is to maximise the Officer and staff resources available for the effective delivery of policing, by efficiently contributing to a reduction in sickness absence and ill health retirements, through
| • | Ensuring Officers and staff are medically fit for duties. |
| • | Contributing to the maintenance of staff wellbeing (physical and mental). |
| • | Fulfilling organisational duty of care by providing advice to managers to assist in managing work related health issues. |
