description
Aspire to HE is required to "equip adult learners... to make an informed choice about their options in relation to the full range of routes into and through higher education and to minimise the barriers they may face when choosing the options that will unlock their potential"
Accordingly, Aspire to HE is looking for a third party to:
- Create a knowledge framework for adult learners across Telford, Wrekin and the Black Country.
This framework will lay out the core knowledge needs of adult learners in order to make informed decisions about further study, linked to barriers that learners perceive and experience.
This will require:
| • | A literature review on the current evidence pertaining to the barriers and knowledge gaps of adult learners |
| • | Conducting field research across Telford, Wrekin and The Black Country, interviewing adult learners, prospective adult learners, and those who work with adult learners to ensure information is regionalised. |
- Develop a series of flexible sessions/content designed to meet the needs of adult learners in addressing the knowledge gaps/barriers established in the framework. We would expect the content to last least 6 hours, delivered in a blended format (final delivery format will be agreed in collaboration with the FE Colleges).
