Furniture (incl. office furniture), furnishings,domestic appliances (excl. lighting) and cleaning products

The requirement of this contract includes the supplies, deliveries and installation of furniture, white goods andother household goods for beneficiaries of the Emergency Support Scheme (ESS) within the Royal Borough ofGreenwich.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is looking to award this contract to a single Supplier who will provide goods and services under the Emergency Support Scheme within the Borough. The estimated value of the Contractis 300 000 GBP per annum. This spend or Contract value is subject to funding being available and or demand for the goods and services from those under the scheme. The Contract Period is initially for a period of 3 years although the Council reserves the right to extend the Contract on the same terms for a further period or periods of up to 12 months making a total possible Contract Period of 4 years.

The successful economic operator appointed and their supply chain will be required to actively participate in the achievement of social value outcomes relating to participation in skills, development, employment and training programmes in the localities within which the Service is to be undertaken. Therefore, the economic operators’ technical capability to meet these requirements may also be assessed at the pre-qualification and award criteria. Further details will be provided in the Invitation to Tender documents. Accordingly, contract performance conditions will be included in the Contract(s) to be awarded in accordance with Regulation 70 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

The Council reserves the right not to award any contract pursuant to this procurement exercise and/or toabandon this procurement exercise at any time and/or award a contract for a part of the services at its solediscretion. The council shall have no liability whatsoever to any applicant or tenderer as a result of it's exerciseof that discretion. For the avoidance of doubt, all costs incurred by any applicant and/or tenderer beforesignature of any contract with the Council shall be incurred entirely at the applicant's/tenderer's risk.
