description
To conduct home security assessments, excluding outbuildings, and the supply and installation of equipment for residents living throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire and elected Members of the Council.
The service required is in three parts:
| • | Safe and Sound Grant; |
| • | Victims of crime, domestic violence and medium and high risk vulnerable victims of anti-social behaviour. |

- i)Safe and Sound Grant
The Council will invite applications for assistance from the Safe and Sound grant fund and will approve these subject to the applicant confirming that they meet the following criteria:
| • | They are aged over 60 OR disabled; and |
| • | All those living in the household have a cumulative bank balance of less than £23,250; and |
| • | They have not made an application to the fund for the past two years. |
Applications will be assessed by the Anti Social Behaviour team who will then inform the applicant whether it has been approved. The Anti Social Behaviour team will inform the successful bidder of the name, address and contact details. The successful bidder will be required to contact the applicant, arrange a convenient time to attend the property and conduct the home security assessment / provide and install the equipment.
The property may be privately owned or privately rented, including Housing Associations or Registered Social Landlords. The scheme is not available to Council tenants.
The total value of this part of the contract is £11,000.
- ii)Victims of Crime, Domestic Violence and Medium and High Risk Vulnerable Victims of Anti Social Behaviour
Referrals will be made by Humberside Police for victims of crime (other than Domestic Violence) and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for victims of domestic violence and vulnerable victims of anti-social behaviour.
The maximum value of the contract will be £20,000 for victims of domestic violence, £12,000 for victims of crime, other than Domestic Violence and £2,000 for medium and high risk vulnerable victims of anti social behaviour.
- iii)Elected Members of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Referrals will be made by the Democratic Services Team at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The maximum value of the contract will be £5,000.
Quotations were sent out to six suppliers and they were given the opportunity to return them by email or in paper format to a postal address which was supplied.
