description
Digital Catapult is seeking to appoint a number of experienced suppliers to contribute to the growth of Digital Catapult's R&D programme and portfolio in the UK through managing the end to end process of applying for R&D public grant funding, from consortium building, scoping, bid writing, budgeting all the way through to contract (consortium agreement, Grant Funding agreement, Grant offer letters and other forms of agreement), negotiation and signature.
Provision of bid writing and management training to the internal team at Digital Catapult is also within scope of the services.
It is expected that Digital Catapult will need assistance with at least 5 grant or tender submissions and/or contractual negotiations for the submitted work per year as required according to available public funding and tender competitions. In addition the contractors will support the contracting of Design Smarter Programme (with various funders) as well as potentially supporting the Full Business case for AHRC CoSTAR competition.
It is desirable that the appointed suppliers have proven track record of developing proposals and securing funding in the areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chains, Digital Twins and Future Networks/ Telecommunications.
Supplier(s) must be a company, partnership or other body corporate (including Bid Writers' professional services company or engaged umbrella company).
Bid Writers are not individually eligible to be appointed to the Framework (e.g. sole traders).
One Supplier may submit if they wish more than one and up to 3 Bid Writers for consideration, with each Bid Writer being individually evaluated.
Each Bid Writer will be limited to undertaking a maximum equivalent of eight days of work per month, as averaged across a three-month rolling period.
Due to the nature of the services required, it is expected that the appointed Supplier/s will provide
most of their services virtually (online) and attending meetings when required at the Digital Catapult office in London. Suppliers might also be required to travel to other sites inside the United Kingdom on occasion around Digital Catapult's regional activities.
