The council wishes to procure 4 new services which will be operational from September 2018 as follows:
- Lot 1: Primary Alternative Education Provision - for a minimum of 8 pupils in Key stages 1 and 2 at any one time. The provision will have flexibility to increase capacity up to 12 if required. The primary provision will need to be located in Keynsham where premises have been specifically developed into a primary AP learning centre and leased from a local school.
The Primary Alternative Education Provision will need to be registered with Ofsted and have a school roll.
| • | Lot 2: Secondary Alternative Education provision - for a minimum of 16 secondary places in Key stages 3 and 4. The provision will have flexibility to increase where required to 20 places and be located in the Bath area, either on school sites or close to local secondary schools in the area. |
| • | Lot 3: Hospital Education and Reintegration Service - to provide education for children and young people who are unable to attend school because of health needs and for those who are hospitalised. As a minimum requirement the provision will teach up to 33 pupils at any one time but will need to flex and increase as required to a maximum of 47 pupils. |
The Hospital Education and Reintegration Service will need to be registered with Ofsted.
- Lot 4: Student and Family Support Service - the council will commission this service with the capacity to support 35 pupils and families at any one time their reintegration into school following a managed move, fair access or period out of mainstream school.
