Self Contained Marinised Electro-Hydraulic Crane

We require to procure and fit a 2 tonne self-contained marinised Electro-Hydraulic folding crane complete with associated power pack, as per the specification and is to be fitted to the RRS James Cook.

The intention is to fit this crane to the vessel in her August/September refit. Prior to fitting we will require to have drawings made for a suitable deck mounting and to obtain Classification Society approval for the drawings We wish to make selection for the suitable crane for the middle of May 2016 with delivery for early to mid-August 2016.

Spec for the crane:

Self-contained folding Marinised Electro-Hydraulic Crane complete with power pack.

Electrical supply 415V, 50 Hz.

Crane to be operated in sea state up to F5-6.

2. x Hydraulic extensions.

Crane to be rated at 2.7 tonne at a radius of 8.6 mtrs.

Slew speed of 1 rpm.

Main boom lifting time 50 sec.

Secondary boom articulation time 50 sec.

Boom extension time 40 sec.

Column mounted control panel.
