description
NHS England Specialised Commissioning (London region) are seeking to undertake a market engagement exercise to help inform a potential new contract for Mentoring and Advocacy Services for the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway. This is a new opportunity to support the existing programme.
As part of the re- design of London's Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway (a co- commissioned NHS England and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service programme) we are undertaking a scoping event on how the provision for under- served groups, including BAME, women and those in the 18-30 age group, screened into the OPD programme could be supported through the delivery of mentoring and advocacy support services. The findings of this event will feed into the procurement of a 2-year pilot mentoring and advocacy service in the London region. The procurement's will be occurring in the late spring/ early summer 2019.
The scoping event will take place on Monday 11th March 2019 between 10am - 4pm in Charing Cross, London. The exact address will be published to those who register their interest to attend.
The event will include a presentation on the London OPD co-commissioners' commissioning intentions, the proposed procurement process and small group work with representatives from current OPD stakeholders (including health and probation representation) and with representatives from organisations with experience of mentoring and advocacy to offenders. The purpose of the small group work will be to debate and discuss how mentoring and advocacy could be successfully delivered to service users on the OPD pathway.
NHS England Specialised Commissioning (London region) are keen to hear innovative suggestions on how these services may be provided in the future and would like to invite expressions of interest/ attendance from suitably experienced and capable providers. Expressions of interest are welcomed from providers capable of providing the services in London, as well as providers who are only able to provide some of the modalities.
To reserve your place please complete the registration form and email the completed form to Natalie.polyblank1@nhs.net by 7th March, 17:00.
Presentations will start from 10am and there will be opportunities to ask questions at the end of each session. Lunch, Tea and Coffee will be served and there will also be the opportunity for networking and discussion.
