description
As part of the Dstl adsorbent material analysis capability, there is a requirement to acquire new analytical equipment. This desired expansion includes two pieces of equipment:
| - | A Microscale Breakthrough Analyser |
| o | A piece of equipment capable of analysing breakthrough of hazardous vapours against adsorbent materials, and monitor the effluent concentrations of Hazards. |
| o | This testing is a key part in the understanding of adsorbent properties of materials against Chemical warfare agents and Toxic industrial chemicals. |
| o | As such, it supports and expands upon the micro-scale analysis capability. |
| - | A Dynamic Vapour Sorption Unit (DVS) |
| o | A piece of equipment designed to analyse adsorbent materials, determining their gravometric properties during exposure to contaminated airstreams. |
| o | This determines the adsorbent properties of the materials, as is necessary for our micro-scale analysis capability. |
