description

Fit out works to the ground floor mezzanine of Tavistock House, Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9JP, to allow for the decant of Registrars wedding and nationality services from the Town Hall for the duration of the Town Hall refurbishment works.

The accommodation requirements for Tavistock House include the following:  Wedding ceremony suites (including waiting areas);  Interview rooms for nationality services;

 Back office for staff.

It is proposed to use a JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractor's Design 2011 (ICD 2011) because the design for the fit-out works is straightforward and specialist areas including some services might be better designed against a performance specification by specialist sub-contractors. Prior to contract, the design of the works will be taken to RIBA Stage 4 'Detailed Design'.
