description

Plymouth City Council ('The Council') is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide a service for the processing, treatment and recycling of approximately 4,300 tonnes per annum of inert construction waste;

EWC code 20-02-02, consisting mostly of soil and rubble,

EWC code 17-01-07 mixture of concrete & bricks

EWC code 17-01-03 370 tonnes per annum of ceramics

The waste is sourced mainly from the Council's Household Waste Recycling Centres but some also originates from commercial customers.

The Service is required to maximise the diversion of Soil and Rubble from landfill and proposals should prioritise recycling over other treatment options in accordance with the waste hierarchy.

The Council will deliver Soil, Rubble and Ceramics to the processing site in 20 cubic yard roll on off containers. The Supplier shall take ownership and responsibility of the Soil Rubble and Ceramics once it has been delivered to the Supplier's processing site.
