Landscape, drainage and engineering works to retrofit SuDS to the Hilton Road Site

Groundwork West Midlands with the support of S-O-T CC, Severn Trent and the Environment Agency are wishing to appoint a contractor to undertake landscape, drainage and engineering works to retrofit SuDS to the open space areas on Hilton Road. The Hilton Road Sustainable Urban Drainage System Scheme is a project to tackle localised surface water flooding around Hilton Road Care Home and surrounding residential roads. The scheme will utilise and enhance three urban green spaces along Lodge Road. Runoff is to be intercepted and stored to mitigate flood risk and cleaned to protect the receiving watercourse and significant parts of the SuDS installations. The improved urban green spaces will provide enhanced amenity and biodiversity value. This work is being brought forward as part of the SUNRISE project and will be part funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
