DUD - BCI - Health & Safety in a Construction Environment Level 1 and the CSCS Card (Sandwell) - AWARD

To deliver training, which will equip eligible 16-29-year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) across the Black Country to achieve CSCS accreditation (Level 1)

To prepare participants for the Health Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test. The following areas should be covered in order for the individual to successfully pass the test:

• oPractical tasks: Safe Kinetic lifting Equipment.
• oEmployees responsibilities and Site safety equipment.
• oRisks to Health in the Construction Environment.

• oAsbestos
• oPersonal Protective Equipment
• oFire Safety
• oTest Practice
• oQuestions based on topics
• oPlant Equipment and Safety
• oIdentifying main hazards/risks
• oMethod statements

Please Note:

Service Providers should support participants in applying for and securing their CSCS card.

Individuals who take their CSCS test will receive a Certificate immediately after their test, telling them whether they have passed or not.

When individuals have passed their CSCS test, The training provider will apply for the CSCS Cards. These usually take around 3 to 4 weeks to be processed and returned at which point they will be distributed as appropriate.

Course Delivery

The above course must be delivered in groups, with minimal numbers (4 Clients minimum), either face to face or online. Retests should be offered to participants at no extra cost, and this should be factored into price.
