The project comprises the soft strip out of the Civic Centre building to remove all asbestos, redundant building services and some non-structural elements, and the provision of some temporary building services.
In summary the works involve the following:
| • | Removal of the asbestos present on site (unless stated to be cut and encapsulated). |
| • | Removal of the redundant building services. |
| • | Removal of the suspended ceilings, doors, windows, and the Council Chambers ceiling. |
| • | Provision of temporary fire alarm, emergency lighting and intruder alarm |
