The Radio Network Infrastructure Replacement Programme requires continued external legal supportservices, following the successful contract award on 6thJuly 2020. The reasons for extended legal support requirement, is solely down to anticipated delivery and implementation complexities of the RNIR Programme roll out.We are expecting severalissues relating council wayleave, planning permission and landlord related problems etc.We

also need to be able to retain the services support partner for any further programme procurement requirements that may arise within the 3 year roll out term.This is a complex Tier 1 roll out programme that will require legal outside and guidance from time to time.This approach was critical up to the contract award phase and we are raising this RTP to cover the capability to continue this service.The use of an external partner is required because allGovernment Legal Department representatives are currently engaged in Brexit and COVID19 related activities.This RTP along with existing external legal spend is covered by the RNIR FBC.
