The A46 Newark Bypass is a complex major infrastructure improvement scheme being developed by National Highways to widen a 6.5km stretch of the A46 to dual carriageway from the Farndon Roundabout to the Winthorpe Roundabout.

Skanska are currently preparing the scheme budget for National Highways, and wish to engage with the supply chain to support this budget pricing exercise.

This package includes fabrication and installation of the below new steel bridge structures along the A46 Newark Bypass:

  • Windmill Viaduct - 3 spans - total length 94m
  • NLLW Railway Bridge - 3 spans - total length 53m
  • Nether Lock Viaduct - 6 spans - total length 309m
  • A1 / A46 Crossing - 1 span - total length 61m (SPMT install)
