description
The London Borough of Waltham Forest ("the Authority") invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations in relation to the Contract for the Provision of the Town Hall Campus Travel Plan.
The London Borough of Waltham Forest are planning a major redevelopment of the Town Hall Campus, an iconic 1940s building and site situated in the heart of Walthamstow.
Our intention is to renovate our current Town Hall (artfully restoring the building to its original glory), create a new civic building on site and revitalise the Assembly Hall. We believe there is an opportunity for this building programme to go much further than other major Town Hall redesigns; enabling new ways of working and creating new spaces for the community. We anticipate that the future Town Hall Campus will attract more visitors, being a key hub for the community.
Our development programme requires new consideration for travel to and from the Town Hall Campus, including significant behaviour change in current travel usage. We require the creation of an evidence base and Travel Plan that clearly states our plans for the site. The Travel Plan needs to meet both national and local planning guidance and enable the submission of a high quality, successful planning application.
The London Borough of Waltham Forest are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to deliver a Travel Plan that fully aligns to our Town Hall programme and wider vision, and meets our planning application needs.
