description
The Education Programme for Results (EPforR) is set up as a pay-for-performance scheme, and it disburses funds to the Government of Tanzania education sector conditional on the Government achieving pre-set key results that were mutually agreed at the beginning of the year (called "Disbursement Linked Indicators", or DLI), and considered critical for improving education outcomes. Through incentives at both the national and local levels and a clearly specified Programme Operation Manual, EPforR keeps education stakeholders focused on the most important deliverables in the primary and secondary education levels.
