The objective of the independent third-party monitoring and operational research facility is to:
- Provide an ongoing, high quality, critical constructive review of the ASSR programme and verify that the reporting against agreed results indicators is of a high quality.
- Work with programme providers to improve any areas of weakness identified.
- Deliver a defined number of pre-agreed pieces of high quality operational research and provide capacity to respond to emerging research needs.
- Ensure wider ASSR programme activities and expenditure is protected from reputational risk as far as possible.
