Architectual and Structural Engeineering Services for the Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England project

Norfolk County Council wishes to enter into contracts to provide Architectural and Structural Engineering Services for the Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England project.

In May 2016 it was announced that Norfolk Museums Service had been successful with its first-round application to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for a major Heritage Grant. A second-round application is expected to be submitted in October 2017 with a view to completion by 2020.

Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England is an exciting new project that will see Norwich Castle Keep transformed back to its former glory, as one of the finest Romanesque castles in Western Europe. The Project will drastically improve the visitor experience by reinstating the Norman principal floor and making the Keep a more understandable and accessible building. A new British Museum Partnership Gallery of the Medieval Period will also be created within the Keep.
