description

City of Wolverhampton Council ("CWC" / "Council") are seeking to appoint a Lead Designer, Principal Designer and Architect for RIBA stages 4-7 for the new Fleet Services Depot, offices and associated parking. The Consultant is required to have experience in producing Design and Build drawings and specifications.

The scheme involves relocating the 'Fleet Services' and other Council services from numerous Council sites to the Hickman Avenue site. Demolition of the existing trading facilities will be carried out by the Council with the construction of a new building and associated parking by the appointed Contractor.

An outline planning application based on RIBA Stage 3 was submitted in May 2025 and currently pending validation. This will be followed up requiring the Design Team to address the reserved matters and discharging conditions.

The consultant is required to provide a fixed lump sum fee for each RIBA stage and submit as part of the tender. The fee is not to be reliant upon any estimated construction cost, calculated by the bidder.

Please refer to Appendix A Project Brief for further information.
