The University requires representation in New Delhi, India. The purpose of this representation is to further develop and engage with the institution's network of contracted education agents in the South Asia region (India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) and enquirers and applicants in the region to convert interested parties into recruited students. Related to the requirement for such recruitment, is the need for the successful party to seek appropriate partnership opportunities within the region, as agreed with the UCLan Director of International Partnerships.
The chosen provider will report to the Director of International Recruitment and be responsible for:
| - | The recruitment of appropriately qualified South Asian students to the UK campuses and Cyprus campus of the University of Central Lancashire. (South Asia being defined as India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal). To meet the agreed targets, the supplier would be expected to develop and nurture the agent network and other appropriate stakeholders. This will require extensive travel. |
| - | The admissions processing of applications from the South Asia region where the International Recruitment Team have offer making authority, using an agreed set of academic and English language benchmarks (see Appendix 8); and the referral to the Preston-based team of those applications which require a decision from the academic Admissions Tutor. |
| - | The research, development and ongoing nurturing of appropriate partnerships for UCLan in South Asia, ensuring appropriate returns. |
The chosen provider will assist the International Recruitment Team by contributing to corporate and team objectives including, but not limited to, development of the Internationalisation Strategy; Regional Strategy; development of marketing collateral etc
The chosen provider will have UK-based support from; an International Officer, an International Marketing Coordinator, and an International Conversion Team. There is also a South Asia Team within the International Admissions Team, with which the chosen provider would work very closely.
We anticipate the contract value to be in the region of between £80k and £100k per annum. These figures are for information only and are not a guaranteed minimum or maximum as market costs may vary year on year.
