Emergency Centre IT Solution

In Rotherham a new model of emergency care is proposed that will bring all of the existing services together ina single Emergency Centre located at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. A new purpose-developed facilityis planned to provide a seamless, integrated emergency and urgent care service which will bring together vital partners including Mental Health, Social Care services and other agencies, integrating Rotherham's health andsocial care system.

The design and implementation of a single integrated IT solution to support the seamless flow of patients andtheir information through the Emergency Centre will be key to the successful delivery of the new model. Thesolution will need to communicate with existing and future systems to support the delivery of acute, primary andcommunity services. Delivery of a solution with such a broad scope will require engagement across the HealthCommunity.

The purpose of this PIN is to:

• provide advance notice that the Trust is considering undertaking a tendering exercise to procure the ITsolution;
• identify suppliers who would like to attend a Briefing Event. the purpose of this event is to explain thebusiness requirement and procurement strategy options in more detail. It will also provide an opportunity forsuppliers to engage, ask questions, seek feedback and input into the procurement strategy. The event willtake place on 18.6.2015 at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
