description

We are looking for a lightweight (<5 kg), drone deployable, gas analyser, to make high-precision measurements of carbon dioxide and methane mole fractions in atmospheric air.

To meet our needs, you must be able to demonstrate and consider the following;

  • oThe analyser can make sub-hertz, high-precision measurements of carbon dioxide and methane mole fractions, without any need for sample drying:

Carbon dioxide mole fractions in atmospheric air to a precision better than 0.5 ppm for 1 Hz measurements

Methane mole fractions in atmospheric air to a precision better than 2 ppb for 1 Hz measurements

  • oThe analyser can be used to make accurate measurements on a drone, to a height of approximately 50m above ground level, without jeopardising the instrument performance.
  • oThe analyser can be integrated with a commercially available drone and that support/advice will be given to facilitate this.
  • oThat the achievable precision of the analyser does not require any pre-treatment of the air being sampled (e.g., drying).
  • oThat the analyser is stable enough to be operated for a period of 20 minutes without the need for in flight calibration.
