Defra procuring on behalf of Natural England:

The project will contribute to the objectives of the Catchment Sensitive Farming Project and to help achieve the aims of the Water Framework Directive through voluntary action by farmers.

The Voluntary Initiative (VI-CIC) will be leading the delivery of the Project to provide best practice advice to farmers and advisers on pesticide use in agriculture and acting as project coordinators. The VI-CIC will be working with the agricultural industry sponsors of the Voluntary Initiative to deliver the project, namely the Crop Protection Association (CPA), Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC), and the National Farmers Union (NFU).
