Kilnbridge have secured the HS2 Old Oak Common Station Works Package WP13.1-Urban Realm Civils, Utilities and Earthworks. Part of this scope requires the installation of waterproofing to the roof slabs of the Western HS2 attenuation tank and the GWML attenuation tank.

Western HS2 Attenuation tank roof slab to be waterproofed = 1379m2.

GWML Attenuation tank roof slab to be waterproofed = 225m2

Works are expected to be completed in 2 to 3 mobilisations commencing in Q4 2025 and Q4 2026.

The waterproofing systems shall be a spray applied membrane to BBA certification. The membrane is to be applied to an in-situ concrete substate and achieve a U4 finish compatible with system requirements and BBA Roads and Bridges Certification requirements.

Coatings shall be a BBA certified liquid applied structural waterproofing system suitable and certified for below grade applications on horizontal surface.

The design life is 120years.

All necessary precautions shall be taken to protect membrane from damage during construction operations.

All Testing shall be in accordance with BBA certification requirements.
