Total Catering Services

The key function of this service is to:

• Provide the Trust with a single point of contact for provisions procurement

• Source and audit provisions suppliers who can meet the quality and service requirements of the Trust

• For patient feeding, develop a pricing mechanism which takes account of the Trust's recipes and menu cycle uptake figures, enabling a fixed price per head to be quoted to the Trust which will form the basis of the Contract Price.

• To be responsible for the professional receipt, stock management, storage and delivery of provisions within the hospital site.

• Be responsible for the daily picking of provisions to match the Trust's recipes and production schedules

• Provide a competitively priced provisions procurement and delivery service for all Non-patient catering outlets within the Trust

• Provide an electronic ordering system for the Trust which enables provisions requirements to be ordered in units of production i.e. portions, as well as in standard packaged units of issue.

• Provide robust management, financial and audit information

We are inviting expressions of interest and would ask any parties interested to express their interest on the Trusts e-tendering portal at www.supplying2nhs.org noting that if you have not already registered on this system you will need to undertake that first and then express your interest.

An overview of the service is attached in draft format, but we are not expecting any major changes prior to the next stage, which will be shortlisting or the 'Invitation to Tender', dependent on interest.

Please note, this is only the expression of interest stage, so please register, download the draft specification (plus two examples of the patient menu) and lodge your interest if you feel you can fulfill the Trust requirements, no other information will be released until the closure of the EOI stage, which will be 24th August 2018.

It is likely that the next stage of information will be released w/c 7th September 2018.

Additional information: Please note this contract will be awarded as 3 + 2 + 2 year term lengths, a maximum of 7 years in total.

We will also name local Hospitals including our STP partners within the OJEU notice, but at this stage the tender and the minimum values are based on NGH alone.
