Demolition of 56 Portland Walk - Barrow-in-Furness

Barrow Council (the Council) would like to thank you for your interest in this opportunity. This document contains the questions that you will need to complete and return, in addition to all supporting information about the Council's requirements and the evaluation process.

Barrow BC have been successful in securing Levelling Up Funds from Central Government to undertake some significant transformation projects in Barrow in Furness Town Centre. As part of this the Council wish to select and appoint a contractor for the provision of the demolition of the 56 Portland Walk including covered walkway and entrance gate which will facilitate the improvements to public open space that are planned.

The maximum budget for the works is £30,000 excluding VAT. There will be no additional resource available so any bids over this threshold will automatically be excluded from evaluation.

The contract is due to commence in March 2022 and will continue for 2 weeks unless terminated in accordance with the conditions of the contract.
