This Provision is voluntary and will aim to improve job outcome rates for claimants who have left the Work Programme without a successful outcome, preventing them from becoming longer term unemployed and further detached from the labour market. The Provision will provide intensive support to gain employment which is tailored to the needs of the individual and delivered by an Employment Coach. The Provider is expected to deliver the Provision across the seven local authority areas within the North East LEP boundary. There must be sufficient delivery in each Local Authority area to meet Participant needs. This may include so co-location. The North East LEP area covers: Northumberland – Deep rural areas, market towns and a small urban area – limited public transport links to remote areas; North Tyneside – Urban, good connectivity; Newcastle upon Tyne – Urban, good connectivity; Gateshead – Urban with large rural areas which have limited public transport links; South Tyneside – Urban, good connectivity; Sunderland – Urban, good connectivity; County Durham – Rural areas and market towns– limited public transport links to remote areas.

This is a procurement for services under the Light Touch Regime and DWP will not be bound by Public Contracts Regulations 2015 except as such Regulations are applicable to the Light Touch Regime. The Provider will use the Provider Referral and Payment (PRaP) system to receive their referrals and to record claimant activity.
