Door Entry & LED Communal Lighting at Joel Street, Northwood & Elgar House, Hayes

1. The London Borough of Hillingdon (LBH) intends to install / upgrade the Door Entry/Access Control at the following schemes:

• 118-126E Joel Street, Northwood HA6 1NP. This is a general needs block consisting of 30 flats;
• 128-134B Joel Street, Northwood HA6 1NP.This is a general needs block consisting of 12 flats;
• 1-10 Elgar House, Hates, UB4 9DG. This is a general needs block consisting of 10 flats;

The works include, but not limited to the design, supply, installation, commissioning and hand-over of complete and fully functional audio door entry system to the blocks, the provision of O&M Manuals and training to Council's Representative in charge of the blocks.

2. The London Borough of Hillingdon also intends to replace the existing Communal Lighting system at

The blocks comprise of 42 dwellings spread across 7 Blocks of three floors. The lighting systems manufacturer will be Commulite Ltd or equally approved.

The new Communal Lighting System works will broadly comprise of the installation of 72 No. LED (Light Emitting Diode) luminaries supplied from 3No. Control Panels with 3No. local test positions. The following drawings in Appendix 1 show the proposed locations of the control panels and luminaires and are to be read in conjunction with the specification:

The Installer is expected to provide his rates for the entire Schedule of Works (SOW) listed even if the work is to be performed by a sub-Installer or specialist Contractor. It is the Tenderer's responsibility to obtain the required rates from specialist sub-Contractors to complete the pricing schedule.

Contract duration 8 weeks lead in time and 6 weeks on site.
