description

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) is inviting tenders for the provision of Agency Support (care) Workers for the Children and Young People ( aged 0-25) Disability Service (CYPDS) under a Framework Agreement.

The procurement will be conducted via the local government sourcing portal hosted by Bravo Solutions under ref: itt-745: https://www.localgovsourcing.co.uk.

The current Framework will end on 31st October 2017 and the new Framework is being set up for a fixed period of 2 years commencing 1st November 2017

The aim of service specification is to ensure that CYPDS procure suitably qualified, competent and experienced Support (care) Workers on a planned ad-hoc basis, from a range of service providers to provide short breaks to children and young people.

Briefly, the Service to be provided will cover:

Low level support:

Child/young person with a learning disability will require help and support in the home or to attend a community activity, make choices, understand the make up of the activity, provide general supervision and encourage adult/child to get the best out of their activity in line with their plan.

High Level Support:

This would also include help and support in the home or to attend a community activity. But their needs may be of a medical nature. The worker will need to administer medication appropriately and potentially in an emergency situation provide necessary intervention and contact emergency services.
