description

This DPS is for Ash & Dangerous Tree Roadside Removal across the Forestry England West District.

The work under this DPS will comprise the felling and extraction of diseased and dangerous trees that are considered a risk to the public along highways, adjacent to infrastructure including facilities, trails and public rights of way, or on forest boundaries. The sites are a larger scale than individual trees.

The majority of work will be completed using a mechanised method such as a grapple saw or harvester and forwarder/tractor and timber trailer for extraction. On some occasions the assistance of motor manual chainsaws maybe required to process the trees. The use of a tractor and winch maybe required for operational purposes.
