description

We are a large scale social enterprise delivering learning and skills in over 80 sites within Her Majesty's Prisons, private sector prisons, covering adult prison establishments for men and women, Young Offender Institutions and Secure Centres and secure hospitals.

Novus delivers education, rehabilitation support and opportunity to 60,000 adults and young people across England and Wales.

We work in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), Youth Custody Service (YCS), HMPPS Wales, NHS trusts, national and devolved governments, Local Enterprise Partnerships, charities, employers and local authorities to create the foundations for change both for individuals and for our communities.

With over 25 years' experience, Novus is recognised for its offender rehabilitative provision, including outstanding functional, vocational and enriched education, employment support, professional service and transformation delivery, working collaboratively with local stakeholders.

Our extensive expertise of providing support to individuals enables them to achieve their potential. This includes information, advice and guidance services; support for vulnerable individuals and individuals with Special Education Needs (SEN); and Through-the-Gate and community-based services.

We are part of LTE Group, the first integrated education and skills group of its kind in the UK and the largest social enterprise in the country dedicated to learning, training and employment.

We are now seeking a supplier for the provision of TAQA and IQA courses for Novus staff members, for the supply of five lots differentiated and defined by the following regions:

  • Lot 1: Cumbria and Lancashire
  • Lot 2: Manchester and Merseyside
  • Lot 3: Tees and Wear
  • Lot 4: Women's Estate
  • Lot 5: Yorkshire

The service requirement is for the following courses to be provided to our staff, as and when required as part of their professional development:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (RQF)
  • Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF)

The delivery of courses or services would need to be flexible, through a virtual learning environment, as staff will need to be able to access their learning platform either within the core day (in prisons) or when working from home.
