Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy for Alan Berry Works - AWARD

It has been determined that the Alan Berry Building is at the end of its economic life and has been declared for demolition to make way for a subsequent landscaping scheme to fit in the with the surrounding buildings consisting of the Cathedral, HUB, and the new Starley Gardens. The Alan Berry building is located on Coventry University main campus, fronting the University Square facing the Cathedral with adjacencies to the HUB and existing landscaped areas. The project will involve the demolition of the Alan Berry building removing all foundations and M&E services to allow a Public Realm scheme to be introduced sympathetic to the current surroundings. The two elements of the project i.e. demolition and Landscaping will be let as two separate contracts. We anticipate that the demolition and public realm construction value to be £3.8m.

The Consultant will take the role of Civil & Structural Engineer for any appointment under this framework.

The Consultant shall assist the design team in the development and co-ordination of the design, and in the production of information for procurement and construction with regard to the agreed cost, quality and programme criteria.
