description

Over the years Surrey County Council has been supporting the community transport sector both strategically and financially. As part of a Total Transport Pilot Funding initiative, Surrey County Council alongside it’s partners East & West Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council, is interested in undertaking a valuation of community transport journeys.

The aim is to estimate the potential value of the reduction in health and social care costs that could be brought about by community transport. Impacts to be looked at could include:

Increased use of home and day care services
Increased A&E visits
Higher risk of hospital admission

A final report with supporting documentation will be required to present to relevant partners to demonstrate and justify the financial and non financial benefits of community transport.

Please see attached documentation for a full description of the requirement
