Surrey County Council's (SCC) 25 year waste contract with Suez ends in September 2024. We are therefore preparing for follow on arrangements which will comprise the hand back of existing assets that were leased to the contractor when the contract was let in 1999. The assets comprise 15 Community Recycling Centres, four Waste Transfer Stations, two Material Bulking Facilities and the Eco Park Facility at Shepperton which comprises an Anaerobic Digestion Plant for food wastes, a Gasification Facility for residual waste and a Bulking Facility for recyclables.
