The objective of the contract is to establish and manage a Technical Assistance Facility to support DFID to implement the programme. The primary roles of the Technical Assistance Facility will be to:
| • | Provide technical assistance and issue grants in line with programme objectives; |
| • | Establish and manage facilitation and technical assistance platforms in up to three programme priority countries / regions (Southeast Asia (particularly Indonesia), East Africa and West / Central Africa), focused on improving enabling conditions for sustainable private investment; |
| • | Finance a set of public-private partnerships to tackle deforestation and support sustainable forest management; |
| • | Develop a pipeline of potential public-private partnerships for future investment through the programme and through other channels. |
