The aim of this commission is to test an integrated delivery partnership which will support Westminster residents with the steps they need to get into work and stay in employment.
Significant investments are being made in local services including through European Social Fund and the Council wishes to work with European Social Fund providers to:
- increase the numbers of residents being supported through these programmes, focussing on long term unemployed and above and beyond profiled contractual commitments.
- test a new integrated way of working aligning to the Westminster Employment Service and as summarised below.
- learn from this trial to inform future commissions by the Council and undertaken by other commissioners; and
- use evidence to make the case for future investment in employment services to meet the demand, particularly from long term unemployed and Employment Support Allowance cohorts.
