Electrical Installation, Condition Reports and Remedial Works for Housing Stock

Colchester Borough Council (the Council) intends to enter into a Contract with a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake 3200 EICR's and remedial works within its housing stock to meet its obligations as a landlord and its policy commitment of 5-yearly testing.

The works include but are not limited to:

•Landlords testing - 3200 EICRs to be undertaken by 31 March 2021 •Electrical installations

•General lighting and power (small scale)

•Code 1 and 2 recommended Works

The Contract will be let on an "all-inclusive" basis incorporating the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates suite of documentation as set out in the draft Articles of Agreement completed in accordance with the Contract Details included with the Procurement Documents.

The initial period for the completion of 3200 EICR's and associated remedial works will end on 31 March 2021.

At the Council's discretion, the contract may be extended for up to a further twenty-four months, with an anticipated number of EICRs of 1200 per year.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

Bidders are advised that the date for the Deadline of Interest is the same as the deadline for submission of bids.
