description
The RSSB is looking to set up a framework that can be used to call off technical services resource relating to the rail industry. At present an ad hoc process is utilised to engage external interim resource to fill skills gaps in projects. The proposed framework will provide an efficient mechanism to engage the required resources with consistent quality and pricing for the lifetime of the framework.
The proposed framework will be divided into Lots that will probably take the following shape:
Audit and Assurance Standards Control, Command & Signalling Energy
Environment / Sustainability Human Factors Infrastructure Engineering Railway
Railway Operations Risk and safety Risk, Safety, Knowledge and Decision Analysis Rolling Stock Engineering Safety Management Stakeholder Support Standards System engineering Technical authorship Training (ability to train)
Project Management Analysis
The Supplier Day will provide an opportunity for the market to feedback on:
- feasibility of the framework
- the Lot structure - will it be sufficient to cover requirements, are any areas missing, are there Lots that could be combined
- what will make the framework an attractive proposition to bid for
- general feedback
The Supplier Day will take place on 8th April 2016 at RSSB offices from 13:30 - 16:30.
If you would like to attend, please email shareditt@rssb.co.uk with 'RSSB 1996 Technical Services Framework' in the heading. Could we request that you also state which of the above Lots you would potentially be interested in bidding for.
Please note that due to space restrictions, two (2) representatives will be permitted per organisation.
