description
Northumberland County Council are seeking to appoint a Provider to promote, support and facilitate an asset-based, community-centred approach to build capacity to improve the health and wellbeing of the County's population. This will include tackling the wider determinants of health through awareness raising of the affects of negative health behaviours, such as excessive alcohol consumption and also provide a Stop Smoking service.The procurement will follow an Open Process under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Through this service, Northumberland County Council is seeking to make a substantial contribution to the improvement of the health and wellbeing of the population that live, work or are educated in Northumberland. The Service will contribute to a reduction in health inequalities amongst the population and facilitate the attainment of indicators contained within the Public Health Outcomes Framework for 2016-2019 and the Children and Young People's Health Outcomes Framework. The Integrated Wellbeing Service includes Health Trainer, Specialist Stop Smoking and other specialist Health Improvement services.
Additional information: The Contracting Authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach. Please obtain tender documents from https://procontract.due-north.com. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in pounds sterling and all payments made in relation to any resulting contract(s) will be made in pounds sterling. Any resulting contract(s) will be considered as contracts made in England according to English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. The Contracting Authority does not bind itself it accept the lowest tender or any tender and reserves the right to cancel the award procedure at any time.
The Contracting Authority shall not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing interest in tendering for this opportunity, including but not limited to where the contract award procedure is cancelled for any reason.
The successful tenderer may be required to give an undertaking that it will comply with all UK and EC legislation, standards and applicable guidance.
