Assistant Finance Director Recruitment

The MCA requires the following interim appointment to satisfy critical business requirements in line with spending review activity as well as strategic change programmes across the agency.The MCA does not have this skill set or experience currently within the agency.The post will have the opportunity for extension with prior board approval after 6 months however a permanent replacement should be in place by that time.Assistant Finance Director -Strategic Finance (6 month appointment)Key Responsibilities-Lead the Agency's Comprehensive Spending Review 2021 process including submissions for DfT and HMT-Develop a social value model against the Agency's budget to demonstrate the value generated by the organisation to the UK -Drive a programme of efficiencies and savings across the Agency, including reducing bureaucracy and streamlining processes-Review and improve internal financial reporting, which is timely, accurate and value-adding to the business-Lead the Financial Business Partnering function of the Agency-Support the delivery of a finance improvement programme across the DirectorateExperience / Qualifications-Qualified CCAB/ CIMA -Significant relevant experience in a senior financial management role -Significant experience of working with CentralGovernment finance-Track record of business improvement.
