description

Oxford City Council, on behalf of the Project Board , is seeking to procure the services of an exceptional multidisciplinary team to produce a concept Masterplan, ideally to RIBA Stage 2 for Oxford train station and surrounding sites. As the intention is that the Masterplan may be later adopted as an SPD, the evidence-base and consultation, must be to a standard that allows this . The Masterplan will take a holistic approach to the redevelopment of the whole station area including the delivery of a multi-modal transport interchange with rail service enhancements and capacity upgrades, improved station forecourt and commercial area, with better connectivity to Beckett Street and wider integration to key developments in the city centre (Oxpens and Osney), whilst ensuring delivery of East-West rail timetable requirements (a nationally significant infrastructure project).
