description

Contract for Catterall Slips for a project covering slips within the given area. This project is being progressed as a Sustain Standard of Service project to investigate and address the embankment slips at Catterall Flood Storage Reservoir.

The slippage issues have been highlighted within the Section 10 report, however the slips have not yet been assessed as being a Measure in the Interest of Safety (MIOS).

The repairing the left hand side embankment is required as a preventative measure to ensure the embankment does not become a MIOS. This will ensure a longer residual life for the asset at a lower cost than a repair of a failing asset would.
