description

We need a completely inert (non-firearm) Glock 17 replica. They should:

  • Be of solid construction, with a metal slide, and should closely match a Glock 17 in weight and exactly in dimensions in order that we can use it in existing holsters.
  • Have a realistically weighted, removable magazine for practising reload drills.
  • Have a resetting trigger that can be adjusted to replicate the weight and travel of the two triggers we currently have on our operational weapons.
  • Have a reasonable facsimile
  • Have a LASER that shows aiming/shot accuracy and, ideally, diagnosis of faults.
  • Be completely of a non-realistic, standard training-pistol colour (i.e. a frame and slide that are red or blue. As we use blue SIMs pistols, red would be preferable.)

This opportunity is for the Specialist Firearms Command within the Met.
